You could easily miss this place walking by. Conveniently located across from the Madison St. garage, it looks deceptively like an ordinary lunch counter. But one look at the daily specials would make it clear it isn't. I ordered the black bean burger, a flavorful sandwich unlike any veggie burger I have had. The sides include a salad with housemade habanero vinaigrette. I'll be back.

Rick has the best food. Look forward to his lunch specials and his menu is great also. He also has great breakfast choices and has daily quiche or biscuits and gravy.

Love Rick's Café! Located inside the Governor's Office Building, this is a hidden favorite in the downtown area. Check out his Facebook page for the daily special or peruse the menu. I highly recommend the black bean burger and Greek Cobb salad.

I travel to Jeff City from St. Louis every couple of months for meetings in the Governor's Office Building (where this cafe is located on the first floor in the main lobby). The food at Rick's Cafe is AMAZING. We order lunch from here every time we have a meeting, and everyone raves about their food. I always get the black bean burger which is delicious. Make a special trip to the GOB and check this place out! You can just walk in the building and get food from Rick's, you don't have to be meeting there. Not sure why it says they are on the 3rd floor....it is definitely right in the lobby when you walk in on the left hand side.
